Northern Lights

Even in the darkest, coldest hour the universe has a way of show you that there is hope.

As some of you might know, I’ve been struggling with depresion for many years now, and moving far away from my family and friends did not help. As I was feeling lost in the darkness, both emotionally and physically, seeing as the winters this far north are very dark; I had to leave the house and just breathe. It was dark, cold (we’ve had snow for months allready) and I was feeling very lonely, lost and hopeless as I got an urge to turn around and look up. The Northern Lights were blazing across the sky. It was such a strong sign and a beautiful metaphor; because no matter how dark things are at the moment, even in the middle of winter when the sun leaves us, you can find light, and the lights born from darkness are often the most beautiful ones.
